Round table : broadband, general debate.     Biographie/Biography Since September 2000 Frank Esser is CEO of the Cegetel Group, the leading private French telecom operator in mobile (SFR) and fixed (Cegetel Fixe). Cegetel Group has more than 13 Mio. customers and is positioning itself as a multimedia operator. Before then Frank Esser was Co-CEO of Mannesmann Eurokom. Mannesmann Eurokom was in charge of all international investments of Mannesmann (Cegetel, Omnitel, Infostrada, tele.ring) as well as of business development. Frank Esser contributed to most of the Mannesmann operations in the telecommunications field (capital increase of Mannesmann, Orange, Omnitel, Infostrada, Cegetel, Arcor and Vodafone projects) as well as to the discovery of new companies such as Ipulsys, international IP Network operator. He has a vast experience in negociating and in financial markets. He has been for 4 years CEO of Eurokom. Previously he occupied various functions within the telecommunications division of Mannesmann and within the JVs’ of the German group. With more than 10 years in telecommunications he has a deep knowledge of the European mobile, fixed and Internet markets.
