Gilles FONTAINE
 




A graduate of HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in 1983, Gilles Fontaine joined IDATE in 1994 as head of the Media Economics department. Prior to joining IDATE and after some time spent with the Ministry of Culture and SOFIRAD, he worked for the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, monitoring investments in a large number of audiovisual and multimedia companies. He has also been involved in developing thematic channel activities.

In recent years, he has been responsible for the publication of numerous studies relating to the audiovisual and new media sectors and he has carried out several assignments for TV broadcasters, telecom operators and public authorities in France and other European countries.
