Seishi Tsukada was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1962.
He received the M.S. degrees in science from Tokyo
University in 1988. He joined Nippon Telegraph
and Telephone Corporation (NTT) in 1988. He was
engaged in research of computer languages and
managed a research project of information distribution
during 1988 - 1998 in Human Interface laboratories.
He transferred to NTT Mobile Communications Inc.
(currently NTT DoCoMo Inc.) inÅ@1998 and
worked in the mobile application standardization
area. He contributed to MMS (Multimedia Message
Services) standardization in 3GPP (3rd Generation
Partnership Project). In WAP Forum (Wireless Application
Protocol Forum), he promoted the WAP2.0 project
that was aimed at the convergence with Internet
technologies, and contributed to the new WAP architecture,
browsing and wireless e-mail notification. He
also contributed to the initiation of OMA (Open
Mobile Alliance), formerly WAP Forum.
Since June 2003, he is the president of DoCoMo
Europe (France) in Paris, which is a base of NTT
DoCoMo for standardization of the third generation
mobile system and interoperable mobile services
on it. |
