Giovanni Amendola holds a degree in Statistics from Università La Sapienza of Rome and a Ph.D. in Science and Technology Policy Studies from the University of Sussex.
In December 2000 he joined Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A.. He is currently Head of the Regulatory Strategy and International Affairs Department.
He previously worked, among others, in the Regulatory and Public Affairs Department of Telecom Italia.
He has published a number of articles on issues related to technological change, industrial economics and regulatory policy.
He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Communications & Strategies Journal and a member of the Board of Directors of ECTA (European Competitive Telecoms Association).
