Gilles Fontaine is IDATE Deputy Managing Director. Prior
to joining IDATE, and after some time spent with the Ministry of
Culture and the French radio broadcasting company SOFIRAD, he worked
for the national deposit and consignment office, la Caisse des dépôts
et consignations, monitoring investments in a large number of audiovisual
and multimedia companies. He has also been involved in developing
thematic channel activities.
Gilles Fontaine graduated from the top French business school HEC
(Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in 1983 and the Institut
MultiMédias in 1984
