Pertti Johansson serves as president of QUALCOMM Europe. In this role, he oversees all business activity in Europe, provides strategic direction and manages all of QUALCOMM’s operations in Europe.
Prior to joining QUALCOMM, Johansson was the founder and president of the consulting firm, Johansson Global Associates, LLC. Prior to founding Johansson Global Associates, he worked for Motorola Corporation for 16 years, where he held various management and executive management positions. He joined Motorola in 1986 as director of International Cellular Infrastructure Operations. In 1990, he became director of R&D and Product Marketing for GSM Networks. From 1991 to 1996, he served as vice president, corporate vice president and general manager for the International Cellular Infrastructure Division. He went on to hold numerous senior positions within Motorola including senior vice president and general manager of the European, Middle Eastern and African regions before being appointed to senior vice president of Global Account Management in 1998. Previously, he worked for ITT Corporation, a former American telecommunications company that grew into a successful conglomerate.
Johansson received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering- telecommunications from the Helsinki Institute of Technology. He also has served on a number of industry boards including the Aegis Communications Corporation, Strategic Account Management Association, Pacific Telecom Council, U.S.-Russia Business Council, Motorola Regional Management for Asia, Europe and Latin America, and the Finnish-American Chamber of Commerce.
