2005 The Very High Speed Challenge
Susan White is a senior manager in Lucent’s European
Network Architecture and Technology strategy group based in Paris.
She is responsible for the Broadband Access and Services team whose
prime responsibility is to support European customers with complex
network architectures for existing broadband access networks and
technology strategy planning for next generation broadband networks.
Susan received a B.Eng degree in Electronic Engineering with Communications
from the University of Sheffield in the UK. She joined Lucent in
the UK in 1991 and was responsible for the development of ATM, Optical
and Broadband solutions in the UK market before moving to Lucent
in New Jersey, USA in 1996. There she was involved in a number of
projects including strategic planning and solution development for
IP VPNs, Voice over IP networks and broadband access, involving
several new Lucent acquisitions. In 2000, Susan returned to Europe
to take up her current role based
in France.
